Diamonds Are a Girlās Best Friend is written byĀ Jenny Colgan who is one of my favourite British Chicklit authors. She has a way of telling a story that is funny and relatable.Ā

The protagonist is Sophie Chesterton, a London socialite born into money. The family money has bought her a lifestyle free of most everyday responsibilities. Then one day it all is taken away.
The quest for Sophie to find a job and a place to live leads to a cast of characters that are unique and interesting. Sophieās need for survival brings with it choices not for the faint of heart. Told with Colganās usual hilarity, Sophie begins to adapt to her circumstances.
