There’s nothing quite like settling in with a festive romance during the holiday season, and 2025 delivered no shortage of cozy, heart-warming reads. From snow-dusted Christmas romances filled with small-town charm, second chances, and swoony love stories to one standout Hanukkah romance that brought something a little different to my holiday reading, these books perfectly captured the magic of the season. If you’re looking to add more festive romance to your TBR—or revisit some holiday cheer—these were my favourite holiday reads of 2025.
If you enjoy holiday novels that weave together romance, family, and a touch of bittersweet reality, I can’t recommend The Christmas Keepsake enough. It’s a heartfelt reminder that sometimes the truest holiday magic comes from the memories we keep and the love we share.
A Little Holiday Fling is a heartwarming holiday romance about a Christmas-loving woman whose dream of moving to England intertwines with an unexpected connection to a holiday skeptic, leading to a tender story of love, family, and new beginnings. 🇨🇦
Christmas Fling is a funny and heartwarming holiday romance about two near-strangers who find themselves fake dating over Christmas in the Scottish Highlands, only to discover that their pretend relationship might just be the real thing. Funny, festive, and full of heart, this book is everything I want in a holiday romance—a cozy escape with laughter, chemistry, and a dash of Christmas magic.
The Eight Heartbreaks of Hanukkah is a heartfelt holiday romance that blends grief, healing, and second chances with warmth, cultural richness, and unforgettable narration. This is another beautiful holiday read from Jean Meltzer.
Snow Kissed is a tender, hopeful holiday romance that reminds us love can bloom even after heartbreak. With its mix of warmth, second chances, and snowy small-town charm, it’s the perfect read to curl up with during the Christmas season.
The Christmas Promise is a touching and layered Christmas story that blends heartache with hope, and reminds us that sometimes the greatest forgiveness we can offer is the one we owe ourselves.
This story is packed with holiday cheer, gentle humour, and a warm, whimsical energy that makes it perfect for the season. The sunshine-and-grump dynamic between Flora and Connor is delightful, and Flora’s optimism is impossible not to root for. If you’re looking for something fun, festive, and full of heart, Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop is a wonderful choice—and the audiobook is one I’d highly recommend.
A Merry Little Lie is a heartfelt reminder that even the strongest families have their secrets, and that love and honesty can mend what feels broken. While not my favourite Sarah Morgan novel, it’s still a comforting read that delivers a gentle dose of Christmas spirit and emotional truth.
Whether you’re a year-round romance reader or someone who saves these cozy love stories just for the holidays, these Christmas and Hanukkah romances made my 2025 festive reading season feel extra special. Each one offered its own version of holiday magic—comforting, hopeful, and wonderfully romantic. If you’ve read any of these, I’d love to hear your thoughts, and if not, I hope this list helps you find your next festive happily-ever-after.

I have been looking for a book to read over the holidays, so thank you for this list of recommendations! I am most intrigued by Christmas Fling, as I love the fake dating trope, and the setting of the Scottish Highlands sounds amazing!
