Getting away is always wonderful. Glad you had a good time. The Conservatory is amazing, love the fall setting. I love all the Christmas reads that are popping up. You have a few that I do not, so I will watch for your reviews to see if I want to add them. Have a great week, Jodie.

I got married in Vegas! Such a fun place to spend a few days!

That’s wonderful Samantha! We went to Vegas the first time on our honeymoon!

That’s awesome you were able to still read that much with all the traveling! Love the concept of making a list of what you want to achieve each week!

I lived in Vegas for 5 years and it was always fun to take visitors to the Strip and do all that eating and looking at the “beautiful” people. It’s an interesting city. We actually rarely went to the Strip unless we had guests….just like we rarely go into downtown Seattle unless we have visitors. Been there, done that, and it’s a hassle. 🙂
    Have a great week.

I don’t think I’d want to live in Vegas but I bet you got lots of visitors while you lived there. I hope you have a great week too Terrie.

We have been thinking about a trip to Vegas, I went about 15 years ago, and my husband has never been. Maybe well go for a quick 4-night trip, like yours!

Thanks for reading! You’ll likely see many changes to Vegas – some good, some not so much, but I always get a thrill flying in and seeing the strip. I hope you have a great week ahead Christina!

Congrats on 33 years! Vegas is a great place (I lived there for many years). “The Lies I Tell” is on my list…and now it’s moving up to the top. Thanks for sharing!

Happy anniversary! We’ve only been to Las Vegas once – it was fun to see. Our daughter is going for Thanksgiving this year with her fiance and his family. I’ll be curious to see what she thinks. Enjoy your reading this week.

Glad you enjoyed your Vegas anniversary trip. It’s been 15 years since I’ve visited there. The food was great and we were able to take in a show or two but the smoking was horrible. I wonder if it’s still so prevalent in the casinos. We weren’t even in any casinos but some of the restaurants were open air to the casinos.

There is definitely movement towards non-smoking in many of the hotels on the strip. The ParkMGM for example is a totally non-smoking hotel and casino now.

Thank you Blake! I hope that you can get to Vegas one day.

We lived in Vegas for 2 years when our kids were younger. It’s a better place to visit than to live! LOL. We’re only 4 hour’s drive away, so we go back and visit occasionally. I love the Bellagio Conservatory, it’s one of my favorite places to visit when we go there.

    1. thathappyreader

Thanks Wendy. It must have been an interesting experience living there.

  19. Ann

My parents just went to Vegas for their wedding anniversary back in April. It always seem like an interesting place to visit.
    Have a great week.

I’m glad you had fun celebrating; happy anniversary! I love the photos and definitely agree it’s a lovely autumn setting. I haven’t watched The Voice in quite a while; I should get back into it again since I’m typically a fan of talent shows as well (at least mostly for the performances).

Hope you have a great week!
