My Week:
š Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! Wishing everyone a safe, peaceful, and gratitude-filled Thanksgiving weekend. š§”
I hope everyone has something to be thankful for today and can spend time with friends or family making new memories. My sister is hosting us on Saturday, and Iāll be bringing a pie as my contribution to the meal.
On a more personal note, we finally got our car back on Wednesday! For those who donāt know, my hubby and I were rear-ended by a semi-truck on the way home from our anniversary lunchājust two weeks after my dad passed. To complicate things, the truck and driver were insured in a neighbouring province, and weāve been told it could take up to a year to finalize the claim and get our deductible refunded. Weāre hoping for an update from our insurer next week.
A quick update on the blog – Iāve changed comments to require approving before they are published to provide greater security of the blog.
Books Iāve Added to My Shelves This Week:
From Publishers, Netgalley, & Libro.fm: None that I have accepted.
From The Library:

Twice tells the story of Alfie Logan, who discovers at age eight that he can relive any moment of his life and alter its outcomeāthough he must accept the consequences of his second choice. Growing up, he uses this gift to erase mistakes, escape dangers, and eventually perfect his way into love with Gianna, the woman he believes is his soulmate. But when temptation causes his gaze to wander, Alfie learns the devastating rule that once he undoes love, he can never win it back, forcing him to make a choice that changes his life forever. Framed by an interrogation years later, when an ailing Alfie is accused of rigging casino games, his remarkable story unfolds as both a cautionary tale and a poignant exploration of love, desire, and second chances, showcasing Albomās gift for weaving enchanting, heart-stirring narratives.
From Audible: None
What Iām Watching:
After the cliffhanger in last seasonās finale, I was excited to watch the new season premiere of Greyās Anatomy. Iāve been following this show since it first aired in 2005, and it still manages to feel fresh and engaging after all these years. Is anyone else here a fan?
