It’s time for Who Wears it Better in November 2025? In this feature, I look at different book covers used for the same book. In some cases, the cover is chosen by geography (e.g. North America or UK). Other times, it’s based on the edition of the book (hardcover, paperback, kindle etc). Where it becomes confusing is when the book is given a completely different title! Just for fun, and because I love talking books, let’s see what different books covers I’ve noticed recently.
If you’d like to learn more about these books before casting your vote — or add them to your Goodreads shelf — just click on either cover to head straight to their Goodreads page.
➡️ I’ve added voting buttons to each of the five challenges, so please cast your votes for all of them and I’ll do the same. I will share the final results in next month’s post. But first, let’s review the results of last month’s battles!

Our November Battles (Polls Close November 30):
Winter’s Fairytale by Maxine Morrey:

Our first battle compares the different regional covers. They share a similar overall feel, but differ in background colour and the style of illustration. I find it interesting that the U.S. edition features Tower Bridge while the U.K. cover does not. Both designs work well, but if I had to choose one, I’d pick the U.S. cover for its clear nod to the book’s London setting.
Meet The Newmans by Jennifer Niven:

This battle is between two related publishers—Macmillan and its own imprint, Flatiron Books. Both covers deliver a vintage vibe that suits the 1960s setting. I love the gingham and the suggestion of a broken pearl necklace on the Macmillan cover, and I also enjoy the whimsy of the Flatiron design, with a woman blowing a bubble in the foreground and three male silhouettes behind her. If I have to choose one, I’d go with the Macmillan cover.
Wreck by Catherine Newman:

This current Good Morning America pick features covers from two regions: the U.S. and the U.K. The U.S. edition shows a house surrounded by trees with autumn-toned leaves, while the U.K. cover presents a sketched lower half of a person carrying flowers, with groceries spilling from a bag. I haven’t read the book yet, but the U.K. design aligns more clearly with the title, making it my choice in this battle.
Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy:

This current Reese Witherspoon pick features a battle between covers from two different publishers. The Flatiron Books edition shows amber-coloured, stormy seas, while the Penguin cover depicts a silhouetted figure looking out over the water against a teal night sky filled with stars. For this one, I’m choosing purely on aesthetics, and my pick is the Penguin cover.
Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite:

Our final battle this month is for the current Read With Jenna pick, featuring two region-specific covers. The U.K. edition shows a woman emerging from the water with her eye reflected below, while the U.S. cover presents two women facing each other within a swirl of shifting colours. Both are striking and dramatic, and choosing without having read the book was difficult. I’m selecting the U.K. cover for its simplicity and the impact of its turquoise typography.

I agreed will all but the last two, Jodie. Funny, I normally seem to pick the one that I actually have, but not this time.
