Summary:
Two rival meteorologists with a history of disastrous encounters are forced to work together when they’re unwillingly paired to cover the snowstorm of the century, setting the stage for an opposites-attract romance inspired by When Harry Met Sally. Methodical, routine-loving radio host Jackson Clark clashes with adventurous, field-reporting Delilah Stewart, but a bargain—his help to prove her journalistic chops in exchange for her help loosening him up—slowly turns friction into friendship and undeniable chemistry. As the storm rages and their partnership deepens, both must decide whether what’s unfolding between them is just a temporary escape in the mountains or something strong enough to weather real life beyond the forecast.
My Thoughts:
Opposites truly attract in And Now, Back to You, B.K. Borison’s second standalone in the Heartstrings series. This time, rival meteorologists Jackson Clark and Delilah Stewart are reluctantly paired to cover the storm of the century, despite a history of run-ins that rarely end well. Jackson thrives on routine from the safety of his radio booth, while Delilah prefers adventure out in the field, and their forced partnership quickly turns into a bargain: he’ll help her prove herself as a serious journalist, and she’ll help him rediscover how to have fun again.
As the two become snowed in together in the mountains, their professional tension slowly softens into friendship and undeniable chemistry. Borison balances humour with more emotional, serious moments, which added depth to the story for me. I especially loved watching how Delilah influenced Jackson—not just on camera, but in his everyday life—and listening to their relationship grow felt warm, genuine, and heartfelt.
While I enjoyed the story overall, it wasn’t my favourite from this author and felt a little long at times. That said, I’m still very much looking forward to continuing the series with book three.
The Narration:
I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Max Meyers and Brittany Pressley, and their performances elevated the experience immensely. They completely embodied Jackson and Delilah, and when narrators disappear into the characters like that, it really speaks to how strong the performance is.
Final Thoughts:
And Now, Back to You is a cosy, character-driven romance perfect for anyone who loves opposites-attract stories wrapped in humour, heart, and a little emotional depth.
