Wishing all my fellow Canadians both home and abroad a Happy Canada Day🇨🇦! I hope you all have been enjoying the holiday as we celebrate our nation’s 159th birthday.
Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the Jill at Breaking the Spine. So let me introduce you my Can’t Wait Wednesday #195 pick. Click on the book’s cover to add it to your Goodreads shelf (opens in a new window).

Length: 320 pages / ~9 hours.
Narrator: Nikki Massoud.
Genre: Romantic Comedy
From The Publisher:
🇨🇦 Sweater weather is better together.
Rebecca Macintosh has always felt that there’s just something about September—nostalgia, crisp mornings, and possibility. But not this year. Rebecca has thirty days to return home to fix up her late grandmother’s diner or face the consequences. And the only contractor in town? Cort Adams. The man who rejected her one year ago. He’s somehow even better looking as a single dad than when he was the high school football star she once tutored. She’d been hoping to avoid him forever.
As the golden leaves start to fall, Rebecca may find that there’s more to her hometown—and to Cort—than she’d realized, and that the dreams she’s been chasing might have been the wrong ones. Could a spark kindle hot enough in the cool autumn air to call Rebecca home for good?
Why I Can’t Wait to Read Something About September:
What better way to celebrate Canada Day today then with a book by a Canadian author! Although I haven’t read any of this author’s books written under her romance pseudonym, I have read her work published under her real name, Marissa Stapley, and have really enjoyed it. I also love stories set in the fall, especially as we head into the season ourselves, and this sounds like it will be a cozy and charming romance.
Other Recent Picks for Can’t Wait Wednesday:
Can’t Wait Wednesday #194: Big Little Truths by Liane Moriarty
Can’t Wait Wednesday #193: The Women in White by Sarah Pekkanen
Can’t Wait Wednesday #192: Dina Gets Lucky by Uzma Jalaluddin
