While longtime readers will enjoy seeing familiar faces again, this book can absolutely be read as a standalone—though fair warning, once you read one, you’ll likely want to come back for more. This story centres on Mia Maxwell, a successful Nantucket wedding planner whose once-dream job has become bittersweet following the death of her fiancé just weeks before their own wedding. Still grieving more than a year later, Mia’s life is further upended when a house fire forces her to temporarily move into the Beach Plum Cove Inn, placing her right in the middle of a close-knit community when she needs it most.
