One of my favourite things as a reader is looking ahead to what’s coming next. There’s a particular kind of joy in discovering upcoming releases, reading early summaries, and imagining which stories will eventually become immersive listening experiences that stay with me long after the final chapter. As someone who now reads exclusively in audio, anticipation has become part of the reading experience itself.
This post is a look ahead at the books publishing in 2026 that I’m most excited about. These are the titles that immediately caught my attention—whether because they’re written by authors I’ve loved for years, explore themes I’m drawn to, or simply sound like the kind of stories I know I’ll want to press play on the moment they’re released. If you enjoy tracking upcoming book releases and building your TBR early, I hope this list gives you a few new titles to look forward to in 2026 as well.
