Set over just three days, the story begins with Eliza Ramsey anxiously waiting for her sister, Bea, to pick up her daughter, Piper, after a sleepover. When Bea doesn’t show, Eliza immediately knows something is wrong. Bea would never willingly leave her daughter behind, and with the eleventh anniversary of the plane crash that killed their parents—and that Eliza and Bea both survived—just days away, Eliza can’t help but fear the worst. Has something happened to Bea, or has she disappeared by choice?

Determined to find her sister while protecting her frightened niece, Eliza begins a desperate search that takes them from Bea’s home to the cottage in the woods where the sisters spent their childhood holidays. As Eliza starts piecing together clues, she uncovers secrets about her family’s past, including a manuscript left behind by her late father, and suddenly nothing is as it seems.

The twists and turns kept me guessing, and the ever-growing list of possible suspects had my head swivelling as I tried to figure out who was involved in Bea’s disappearance, what had really happened, and whether Bea would be found. I loved how the story kept throwing curveballs my way and constantly made me question what I thought I knew.

The Narration:

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Stevi Incremona, who does a fabulous job bringing the story to life. Her pacing and lovely tone added an extra layer of excitement and kept me completely engaged.

Final Thoughts:

With its compelling family secrets, frantic search and twists around every corner, Mother Daughter Sister Stranger is a thrilling read that kept me eager to find out what would happen next.
