Welcome to Stacking the Shelves #83! This meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Review and the last few years it’s been co-hosted at Team Tynga’s and at Reading Reality. Let me show you what I’ve added this week! Click on the book’s cover to add to your Goodreads shelf (will open in new window).
I was invited to read this book by the publisher. This author is an auto-read for me so I gratefully accepted!
From The Publisher:
She’s a small-town schoolteacher.
He’s a hotshot marketing director.
Together, it’s hate at first sight.
Sophie Taylor has a secret and Joe Walsh thinks he knows it (all). He’s devilishly handsome, incredibly hot – and far too sure of himself.
Unfortunately, Sophie desperately needs his help. She has lost her laptop – and her sequel to the sensational, spicy romance that everybody’s talking about.
Because Sophie is not just hiding something small. She is Este Cox, the mysterious romance author the entire world is desperate to unmask.
When a trip to Sophie’s home town leads to the disgruntled pair sharing a one-bed cottage, it’s a short step to sharing a whole lot more besides… Can Sophie trust Joe with the truth – and be herself?
I was previously given a widget of the ebook but I couldn’t resist the audiobook format!
From The Publisher:
One summer can change everything.
Brooklyn-based Hannah is a bestselling author struggling to write her second book after personal losses. Her older sister, Sara, still lives in Chatham, Cape Cod, where they grew up, and is married with four children. Once a dedicated librarian, Sara dreams of reviving her love affair with literature, but instead, she is stuck with too many family responsibilities and a fizzling marriage.
When Hannah gets the chance to retreat to her aunt’s oceanfront house in Chatham for the summer, it seems like just the thing to get her creative juices flowing. And she’ll be able to spend more time with Sara, who is eager to find her way back into the workforce, to do something rewarding and book-related. The pair will spend the summer making friends, rekindling romance—especially Spencer, an old acquaintance from high school -turned very hot grump—and opening themselves up to the magic of books and the beach.
After listening to the first book in author’s “Love Lines” series, I instantly added this second book in the series!
From The Publisher:
It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on.
I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.
And then somehow we keep talking…ALL NIGHT. We’re both insomniacs, so talking all night soon turns into talking EVERY night.
And talking about nothing soon turns into talking about something.
And here we go from in-depth analysis of reality TV to my relationship with my family to his amazing artwork. There’s no topic we don’t cover…
Except for who I really am. It’s the only question of his I won’t answer.
As my crush turns into an avalanche of Eliot, I think of him all the time now. But if he knew who I was, the entire house of cards we’ve built this relationship on would come toppling down. I want him to be mine, but we might never be more than just a sweet dream….
That concludes Stacking the Shelves #83! Have you read any of these books, or are they on your list of books to read? Let me know in the comments!
