Still Hung Up on You is a light, funny second-chance romance about reconnecting with an ex and discovering love again.

Length: ~ 2 hours.
Narrator: Andrew Eiden, Luci Christian Bell.
Genre: Romance

Summary:
After fifteen years of silence following a painful high school breakup, Hannah Gold unexpectedly reconnects with her ex, Ethan Reisner, while searching for a beloved missing sweater before her parents’ 50th anniversary. What begins as a practical phone call soon turns into something far more complicated as Ethan proves charming, supportive, and surprisingly easy to talk to, forcing Hannah to confront lingering feelings, question the past, and ultimately decide what—and who—she truly wants as old emotions resurface in unexpected ways.
My Thoughts:
Sometimes you just need a lighter read after finishing something emotionally heavy, and Still Hung Up on You by Liz Maverick was exactly what the doctor ordered. This sweet romantic comedy had me smiling from beginning to end, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Hannah Gold never imagined she’d speak to Ethan Reisner again after being dumped by him in high school fifteen years earlier. Yet when she needs to track down a beloved sweater before her parents’ fiftieth anniversary celebration, she finds herself doing the unthinkable — calling her ex and hoping he might still have it. The premise admittedly feels a little out there at first. Calling an old boyfriend after more than a decade over a forgotten sweater? It sounds questionable… until the reason behind Hannah’s determination is revealed. That moment adds surprising emotional depth and speaks volumes about her character.
What truly makes the story shine is the reconnection between Hannah and Ethan. Through a series of phone calls, awkward moments, and increasingly hilarious mishaps, the two begin rediscovering each other while working toward a shared goal. Their banter is charming, funny, and wonderfully natural, making it easy to root for them. Ethan’s willingness to go above and beyond to help Hannah says just as much about him as Hannah’s persistence says about her, and watching them slowly find their way back to one another was genuinely lovely.
The Narration:
The audiobook production elevates this novella even further. The sound design is stellar, featuring phone rings, background ambience, and clever audio touches that I’ve come to appreciate in an Amazon Original production. These elements make the listening experience feel immersive rather than simply narrated. The performers fully embody Hannah and Ethan, bringing humour, warmth, and emotional authenticity to every conversation. I honestly can’t imagine better casting for a romantic comedy audiobook.
Final Thoughts:
Still Hung Up on You is a delightful, feel-good listen filled with humour, heart, and second-chance romance charm — perfect when you’re craving something light, comforting, and guaranteed to leave you smiling.
