My Week:
It’s been a relatively quiet week. I met up with friends for our regular walk and for the first time in months we could walk without having to wear a jacket! It’s the little things in life, right? My hubby is not a walker so I really enjoy getting together with these ladies and getting out for some exercise and great conversation. Besides a bit of grocery shopping, I’ve been just finalizing a few things for our upcoming trip and enjoying reading.
What I Read This Week:
Next Week I Hope to Read:
What I’m Watching:
We watched Murder Mystery 2 starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler when it released on Netflix on Friday. It’s a comedy and we enjoyed it. It’s billed as a sequel but we hadn’t seen the original movie and didn’t feel we missed anything. Here’s the trailer:

Sounds like a great week! So nice to get out and walk, especially when the weather warms up!

I couldn’t agree more Amanda!
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
Someone Else’s Bucket List looks like good fun.
I haven’t been walking lately each day like we did during the pandemic, and I miss it.
thathappyreader
I need to walk at least an hour every day. I can see that you would miss it Deb.
Raji
Great post Jodie! The weather’s been getting much better here too, so hopefully it will be nice enough to go for walks again soon. I’m planning to watch Murder Mystery 2 tonight actually, the first one was hilarious but as you said, both can probably be watched as standalones. Thanks for sharing!
thathappyreader
I hope that you enjoy it Raji!

I used to have women friends who walked together on a regular basis, but that ended several years ago (some of us moved away, and alas, some didn’t survive, for one thing). It sounds great. I wish I could return to it but it would be different people.
best… mae

It’s always more enjoyable to walk with someone else. My audiobooks keep me company otherwise!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
I’m going to try to get out and get walking as it gets warmer. I’m looking forward to extra audiobook listening time. Which means I better make sure my airpods are charged! I need to read the new Christina Lauren, might make it my next Audible purchase. I was wondering about if I needed to watch the first Murder Mystery, but glad to hear I don’t have to! Hope you have a good week!

I think The True Love Experiment is CL’s best book yet! Enjoy!
Drew Alexander Ross
Walks with good company are amazing! And I love the title – Someone Else’s Bucket List! Great recap, Jodie! Thanks for sharing 🙂
thathappyreader
Thanks for reading Drew!
Cindy Davis
I was able to get out and do a 2 1/2-mile walk yesterday, it was great. I miss having people to walk with but love for my audiobooks to keep me company. Have a wonderful week!
thathappyreader
I love audiobooks when walking too Cindy! Have a great week!
Fransic verso
I didn’t watch the murder mystery but seems like an interesting Netflix show. And you got some nice book recommendations although it’s what you going to read.
thathappyreader
Thanks for reading Fransic.
Greg
I think we saw the first Murder Mystery. It looks really familiar 🙂
thathappyreader
I’m sure it’s quite similar Greg.
JoAnn @ Gulfside Musing
I walked almost every day until I hurt my knee a few months ago. It’s finally feeling better, but I’m nervous about challenging it too much… will try a couple of short walks this week with my audiobook. All your books have such pretty covers!!
thathappyreader
Thanks JoAnn. I hope you’re able to continue walking.
Lauren
I enjoy walking too! Today at the football game I actually was able to take my coat off and there was some sunshine. So glad to see sunshine. Where are you going for your trip?
Have a great week!

We’re heading back to Las Vegas Lauren! Have a great week!
Vicki
I walk 5 days a week. I also love riding my bike but haven’t been in quite a while, it’s just recently started warming up.
Now I have to watch Murder Mystery #1 & 2.
Anne – Books of My Heart
That’s great you get to walk with friends. I normally walk with our dog Lulu but she’s injured and I’m missing our walks. I got declined on True Love Experiment but I know I can get the audio ARC in early May.
thathappyreader
It’s worth the what for the book Anne! I think it’s their best! I hope Lulu feels better soon.
thathappyreader
Good for you Vicki! I’ve been riding my bike lately too!
Ronyell (a.k.a Rabbitearsblog)

Thank you Ronyell!
Carla
It sounds like you had a great week, Jodie. I love it when I don’t need to wear a jacket anymore. Yesterday was 70 so I was out working in my yard, but it is cool again today. So funny, I watched Murder Mystery 2 as well and didn’t watch the first one and laughed so much. It was a great pick me up. I will watch for your upcoming reviews. Have a great week.

Thanks Carla!
