I only just started to watch Succession last week too. I am up to episode 8 and addicted. Great book covers!

I might have to check out succession-I am out of shows to binge!

One warning about Succession… I decided to check it out when so much fuss was being made about the series finale. Thought I’d watch a couple of episodes. Next thing I know, I’m on season 2! I binged the entire series over two weeks. It’s addictive.

Enjoy💜 Have a great week, Jodie!

Thanks for the warning Jonetta! I need to space out the episodes since it doesn’t look like we’re likely to get any new shows anytime soon with the strikes!

Hope your Mom is feeling better asap!

I’m pretty sure there are restrictions in Los Angeles over water usage for lawns, but I’m not sure haha. Lots of lush green lawns here.

I need to watch Succession too at some point! Looks amazing. Great recaps as always, Jodie!

Sorry to hear about your mom! But, glad she is okay. All the covers of the books you shared are so pretty. Have a great week!

Lovely to hear good news about your Dad but sorry to hear about your Mom’s mishap! There’s never a dull moment is there.

    1. thathappyreader

There certainly isn’t! Thanks for reading Lisa!

  7. Anne - Books of My Heart

It’s great you can help your parents a bit and so they can be independent. My mom did fine until 92 when she broke her hip, then she just couldn’t manage anymore on her own. She was even still driving well until then! We are about the same heat as always for July-August but we are getting more rain. It’s good for the garden but means more mowing in the heat.

I’m sorry to hear that Anne. Watching our parents age is both a blessing and a challenge.

I tried Succession – it wasn’t for me. We don’t have official water restrictions, but Seattle is generally fairly environmentally aware, so there aren’t all that many green yards around here. I do water my flowers, but we let the grass go; who wants to mow it anyway??? 🙂 Have a terrific week.

I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy life with my dad, active and healthy at 96. I’m glad your parents have been able to be independent into their eighties.

Succession is new to me, so I’ll take a look.

That’s wonderful that you Dad remains healthy at 96! Thanks for reading!

I’m glad you’ve been having good weather! It was 97 degrees here yesterday, and it will be hotter today. I’m not looking forward to it. 🙁

    1. thathappyreader

No I wouldn’t be either. I hope you can stay cool AJ.

I’m so happy for your family getting good news about your father, that is always a time to celebrate. I have heard good things about succession, but I’m just not sure if it is for me or not. I have gone back to watching Outlander as I only ever watched the first two seasons. Have a wonderful week, Jodie.

Thank you Carla! I hope you’re having a great week too!
