My Week:
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to all my fellow Canadians! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend spending time with family and friends and of course enjoying great food.
The week started off with a bit of rain but this weekend has been glorious for weather with temperatures into the mid-high 20’s C. There is nothing like a blue sky and the gradual colouring of the trees at this time of the year.
It’s been a stressful week as well. My parents and my brother have all tested positive for COVID for the first time. As I write this Saturday morning, they both appear to be improving but my Mom in particular was having a hard time. We did manage to get her on Paxlovid early so I’m thankful that this drug is available. My Dad is not a candidate for Paxlovid due to other health concerns and the soonest he can start infusions of Remdesivir is Tuesday. I’ve been supporting them in any way I can but the long weekend couldn’t have come at a worse time. If you are inclined to, please say a prayer for each of them. Booster vaccines are available here again next week and it’s been over six months since any of them have had a booster. The respiratory season seems to be earlier than normal for the second year in a row. Hopefully vaccines will be made available earlier next year.

What I’m Watching:
Last year I read Bonnie Garmus’ book “Lessons In Chemistry” and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I heard earlier this year that Apple TV+ had picked this up for a series I knew it was one I had to watch. This show premieres on October 13 and stars Brie Larson.

Thanks Anne. Yes I feel like some people have become vaccine weary and although I’m seeing some people wear masks again it’s certainly not the majority.
