My Week:
Today is my birthday and I want to take this opportunity to thank this community for all the support you’ve given me and this blog in the past year. It is very appreciated.
My brother remains in hospital and likely will for quite some time yet. One infection has cleared but there are several other pockets of infection that will require IV antibiotics six times a day for weeks. Luckily we are close to the hospital and can visit several times a day for shorter periods so that he can rest in between. My Dad found out this weekend that he will need more surgery. Needless to say, Christmas is far from our minds right now while we focus on maintaining our own mental health as well as supporting others. I did however get my two trees up and decorated and the warmth of the lights have brought me joy.
What I’m Watching:
I’m looking forward to watching “Leave The World Behind” on Netflix this week which stars Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke. The story surrounds a married couple whose family getaway to Long Island is steered far away from the rest and relaxation they expected. Here’s the trailer:

I am so sorry to hear that your family is dealing with major health issues, it sure does put a damper on the Holidays. Hopefully, the doctors have a great plan to move forward and eventual healing.
