My Week:
My brother remains in hospital and is slowing making progress. He has a custom brace that needs to be on when he’s higher than 30 degrees in bed or out of bed. Yesterday he took his first steps in almost a month and can sit for about an hour in a special wheelchair. We don’t know right now if he will be discharged in time for Christmas but we are hopeful. I will need to be trained on a pump that he will need to infuse his IV antibiotics when he comes home and we need to make sure he’s independent otherwise. Dad is scheduled for surgery on Friday at another hospital. I thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers over these past weeks.
Our car was showing a check engine light and required a repair this week so I’m lucky that I live close enough to the hospital to walk. It’s repaired now so I’m hoping to get some Christmas shopping done today after this morning’s visit to the hospital and before I return for an evening visit. Whatever I don’t get today is likely not getting bought.
What I’m Watching:
We watched The Secret: Dare to Dream on Netflix last night and we enjoyed it. It stars Katie Holmes and Josh Lucas and is about a widow who meets a professor who holds a message that could change her life. Here’s the trailer:

Glad some things are getting better. Although the car issues sounds like something that would happen to me. When I have lots of money and time, nothing goes wrong or costs money. So then I spend it on fun stuff. Then when things start going wrong, then I need it for many things at once.
