My Week:
We’ve had gorgeous weather this week with sunny days and spring-like temperatures. The daffodils are starting to produce their heads and it won’t be too long before we start to see them bloom. The local authorities are very concerned however that we haven’t had our usual snow pack on the local mountains due to El Nino and thus we can expect a significant drought this summer. This is concerning given we experienced a long drought last spring and summer.
My brother got good news this week that he remains cancer free. My Mom also received good news that her MRI results show that her heart is functioning normally. My poor Dad, however, received some bad news about his December surgery. Additionally, his blood work shows he is still declining. He has not yet started cancer treatment so we’re praying that once he does that things will stabilize. He is such a trooper.
What I’m Watching:
I’m looking forward to watching Julia Louis-Dreyfus in “You Hurt My Feelings” on Prime. It’s the story of a novelist’s enduring marriage which is unexpectedly rocked when she accidentally hears her husband’s candid response to her latest book. This film delves into themes of trust, deception, and the complexities of communication within intimate relationships. Here’s the trailer:

With good news for the rest of the family, hopefully they can support your dad too. That emotional support can make all the difference. That spring weather has to feel great. Only a couple of weeks and it will be more like that here. The drought is worrisome though.
