My Week:
We’ve had a lovely weather week here in Vancouver. Crocuses are blooming and the sun is shining. It’s been a wonderful week to take a long walk although there has been a slight breeze that feels icy so bundling up with gloves is still required.
Dad started his treatment on Wednesday (yes Valentine’s Day) and is tolerating it well so far. He’s on a cycle of two weeks on followed by two weeks off his medication. They will repeat bloodwork after the first cycle which should let us know how he is responding.
Friday my sister had an unexpected day off so we had lunch out and did a bit of shopping. It was a lovely day and one we both needed. As I write this Saturday morning, my brother and I are going for COVID vaccine boosters today. With so many vulnerable people in my life these boosters are essential. My own household has not yet had the virus and feels blessed to be in that vast minority.
What I’m Watching:
I’ve been hearing lots of positive comments about the Netflix show “The Greatest Night in Pop”. I was a young adult when this collection of music artists originally got together and I’m looking forward to learning more about how this charity event came about.

It’s great that the weather has been nice there, and I hope the treatment continues to go well with your dad. I saw The Greatest Night in Pop was added on Netflix, and I’m intrigued to watch it too.

I’ve gotten every vaccine booster available. I did not want to get my dad, 97, sick. So far, so good! And I’m glad to hear that your dad has started his treatment program. Sending good thoughts and prayers to him.

I also try to keep caught up on my boosters, but got one before the newest one came out and did get Covid just before Christmas. Forunately it was a mild case. I’m glad that your weather is getting better and being outside is more pleasant. I’m glad your dad is doing well with his treatment. I hope you have a wonderful week, Jodie.
