Welcome to The Weekend Post #200! The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. My Week:
It’s been a busy week filled with appointments. On Monday, I accompanied Mom to her medical appointment, followed by my own optometry visit on Tuesday. Thursday was devoted to a three-hour hair appointment. As I write this on Friday morning, I’m looking forward to lunch later today with Mom and my sister — a chance for us to spend some enjoyable time together.
The first week of spring has brought a true mix of weather, with sunny days alternating with rain showers. It’s a familiar pattern and very typical of early spring in Vancouver. How is the weather where you are?
Recent Additions To My Bookshelf:
From Publishers, Netgalley, & Libro.fm:

After a disastrous relationship leaves Winnie Smith unfairly labeled the “other woman” and ostracized by Cape Cod’s judgmental Mommy Mafia, the responsible, drama-averse event planner finds her quiet life suddenly in ruins. Desperate for a fresh start, she takes a job as the personal assistant to Lorenzo Santini, a brilliant but notoriously intimidating surgeon known to hospital staff as “Dr. Satan.” While managing his chaotic schedule and tightly controlled world, Winnie begins to see the vulnerable man behind Lorenzo’s formidable reputation, and he, in turn, realizes that the seemingly invisible Winnie is far more extraordinary than he expected. As their professional arrangement grows increasingly personal, the two discover that sometimes the most unlikely pairings can lead to the perfect match. Thanks to Recorded Books and Netgalley for the ARC of this audiobook.
From The Library: None
From Audible:

Fifteen years after being dumped by her high-school boyfriend Ethan Reisner, Hannah Gold never expects to speak to him again — until a desperate search for a beloved sweater before her parents’ fiftieth anniversary leads her to call his childhood home. What begins as an awkward reconnection quickly turns into a series of funny, heartfelt phone conversations as the two rediscover their easy chemistry and shared history. As laughter, nostalgia, and unexpected feelings resurface, Hannah must confront the past, question what’s real, and decide whether this surprising second chance at love is worth taking — one phone call at a time.
What I’m Watching:
My son told me he’d started watching E.R. on Netflix, so I decided to rewatch it too. I still remember so many of the characters from its original run, and it’s especially enjoyable seeing Noah Wyle back then compared with his role on The Pitt. Is anyone else diving back into E.R.?

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
We’ve been watching The Pitt and we recently saw that ER is also on the same channel. We may look back at that show.
Glad you have had some nice days there, Jodie!

Thank you Deb!
Jonetta | Blue Mood Café
Yay! So glad you got Once in a Blue Moon💜 I had a miserable schedule of appointments this week, too. Don’t know why I did that.
Have a great week, Jodie.
thathappyreader
Thanks Jonetta. Sometimes it’s out of our control.
Harvee
Great you are listening to books on audible. I haven’t been able to do that as yet.
thathappyreader
Thanks Harvee.
Carla@CarlaLovesToRead
Happy Weekend, Jodie. We’ve had a crazy mix of weather. I woke up with light snow, some actually staying on the ground this morning. It all melted when the sun came out, but only went up to 1 C. I want to start watching The Pitt. I’ve been watching Irish series for March. I watched The Derry Girls and How to Get to Heaven From Belfast. I also got Once in a Blue Moon this week. So Happy. I hope you have a wonderful upcoming week, Jodie.

Thanks Carla. I hope you love The Pitt as much as I do!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Still Hung Up On You was a winner for me! Hope you enjoy it too. Sounds like a good week with family. Hope you have a good week coming up!
thathappyreader
Thanks Lisa. It was for me too!
Sarah
It’s funny how some weeks just seem to collect appointments and others are completely free. As for watching ER – I was shocked at just how young they all were. I remember watching the show the first time around and I’m not sure I’m ready for all the emotional turmoil I recall:). Have a great week!
thathappyreader
I watched the first few seasons and I remember the characters only Sarah!
JoAnn @ Gulfside Musing
Sounds like a busy week for you. It’s been warm, but not too hot yet in Florida this week. Our daughters had a few really nice days in NY/CT and say it’s almost safe to head north again! I still need to try The Pitt..
thathappyreader
I hope that you enjoy it JoAnn.
Anne - Books of My Heart
ER was an emotional rollercoaster! The actors have certainly gone on to have good careers for the most part. I feel like I should apologize every week for our horrible government and some of the people here in the US. So glad you are having the family activities and time.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
thathappyreader
Thank you! No need to apologize Anne.
Cindy's Book Corner
We had rain, snow, and sun this past week (no accumulation), and this upcoming week is going to be cold and rainy, then warm and rainy, it’s supposed to rain all week. I hope you have a great week!
thathappyreader
Oh the joys of spring weather Cindy!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
It’s been quite mild here this week, it seems Autumn has arrived finally.
I binged ER to share it with my daughter a few months ago, it still holds up really well.
Wishing you a happy reading week
thathappyreader
Thanks Shelleyrae. You too!
Anne@HeadFullofBooks
We are watching My Brilliant Friend based on the books by Ferrante. They are in Italian with English subtitles so it takes more energy that regular TV viewing.
Have a good week!
