It’s time for Who Wears it Better in August 2026? In this feature, I look at different book covers used for the same book. In some cases, the cover is chosen by geography (e.g. North America or UK). Other times, it’s based on the edition of the book (hardcover, paperback, kindle etc). Where it becomes confusing is when the book is given a completely different title! Just for fun, and because I love talking books, let’s see what different books covers I’ve noticed recently. I’ll tell you what my choice is, so vote and let me know what your choice is!
But first, let’s review the results of last month’s battles:

Now onto:
Our August Battles (Polls are now closed):
The Romance Revival by Christina Lauren:

I like both of these covers but feel more attracted to the U.K. cover for the inclusion of the characters.
Meet Me in Paris by Kristin Harmel:

I love both of these covers and this was a difficult choice for me. After several minutes of pondering, I chose the U.S. Cover.
The Good Parts by Evann Normandin:

I like both of these covers for different reasons. While I’m more attracted to the U.S. Cover, the U.K. cover more closely reflects the story. This doesn’t usually sway my vote but in this case it does. My choice is the U.K. cover.
The Amateur by Chris Bohjalian:

This battle was an easier choice for me as I strongly feel more attracted to the US cover and its thriller vibes.
Not A Word by Linwood Barclay:

This is another difficult choice for me, as I love each of these covers equally. The U.S. cover feels like it better represents the thriller that this book is, while I’m also a sucker for red font on a cover! After much deliberation, my choice is the U.S. cover.
So there you have it – Who Wears it Better in August 2026? I’d love to know which covers you prefer, so please vote to let me know! Do you have a cover you’d like me to feature in an upcoming battle? Let me know in the comments. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Wow, those covers for The Amateur feel like they’re for entirely different kinds of books!

We were similar in our thinking and choices this month, even when I selected differently. Love the UK cover for the Christina Lauren book. Thanks for these posts, Jodie💜

We disagreed on a few this month Jodie. I do find it hard when I don’t know what the book is about. Always fun to see what others pick.

Thanks Carla. I look at it as which cover would attract me to pick up the book to read the synopsis!
Yvonne @ It's All About Books
Great selection! I picked the same covers except for the first one, where I prefer the first cover exactly because it doesn’t have people on it.

This round felt easy! But I did have trouble choosing between The Good Parts. Thanks for these fun posts!
