It’s time for Who Wears it Better in February 2026? In this feature, I look at different book covers used for the same book. In some cases, the cover is chosen by geography (e.g. North America or UK). Other times, it’s based on the edition of the book (hardcover, paperback, kindle etc). Where it becomes confusing is when the book is given a completely different title! Just for fun, and because I love talking books, let’s see what different books covers I’ve noticed recently.
But first, let’s review the results of last month’s battles!

Now onto:
Our February Battles (polls now closed):
When I Kill You by B.A. Paris:

Our first February battle is between two covers from different publishers. While both use a similar colour palette, the similarities end there. The St. Martin’s Press edition is my favourite, thanks to the striking use of a reflection in the knife.
The Odds of You by Kate Dramis:

Our next battle features two covers from different regions. While they share the same tagline, the designs couldn’t be more different. My preference goes to the Bloomsbury cover, as I’m a sucker for a design that evokes travel.
Happy Ending by Chloe Liese:

Our next battle is once again between two covers from different regions. While the graphics are similar—with the woman and dog appearing as mirror images—the Evermore cover stands out thanks to its use of additional colours. That extra vibrancy makes it my pick.
Chasing The Clouds Away by Debbie Macomber:

The regional battles continue, with the Sphere cover representing the U.K. and the Ballantine cover representing the U.S. While both designs are beautiful, I’m drawn more to the colour palette of the Sphere cover, making it my choice in this matchup.
Our Beautiful Mess by Adele Parks:

In our final battle of the month, we have two very different covers from separate publishers, even down to their taglines. While neither design particularly appeals to me, my dislike of white backgrounds tips the scales—so the Park Row cover wins by default.
So there you have it – Who Wears it Better in February 2026? I’d love to know which covers you prefer, so please vote to let me know! Do you have a cover you’d like to have in an upcoming battle? Let me know in the comments. ☺️

Thanks Jonetta.

I love the UK covers this time especially the colours of Happy Ending. I say next time included Vigil by George Saunders. I am not at all interested in the book, but the UK cover is lovely.

I agreed with all, but one of your choices, The Odds of You, Jodie. I find it tough for some of these as I haven’t read the book, so don’t know which one best fits the story.

Thank you Winnie!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Always love this post! I have to say on the Macomber book, normally I would pick the one on the left, but I like how the one on the right has the Seattle skyline better, and I like her orange dress on that one better. Thanks for doing this every month!
