Itās time for Who Wears it Better in October 2024? In this feature, I look at different book covers used for the same book. In some cases, the cover is chosen by geography (e.g. North America or UK). Other times, itās based on the edition of the book (hardcover, paperback, kindle etc). Where it becomes confusing is when the book is given a completely different title! Just for fun, and because I love talking books, letās see what different books covers Iāve noticed recently. You can click on the book covers to read my review of each book when available.
ā”ļø Iāve added voting buttons to each of the five challenges, so please cast your votes for all of them and Iāll do the same. I will share the final results in next monthās post. But first, letās review the results of last monthās battles!
October Battles:
Colored Television by Danzy Senna:
This battle is regional based with Riverhead Books (US) taking on Dialogue Books (UK).
The Holiday Cottage/The Christmas Cottage by Sarah Morgan:
This battle is also regional and not only does it have a different cover for each region but also a different title.
The December Market by RaeAnne Thayne:
These two publishers are US based with Canary Street publishing the regular print and kindle editions and Center Point publishing the large print edition. I love that each of them has a unique cover.
A Christmas Duet by Debbie Macomber:
Here is another regional battle (UK versus US). These are two very different covers.
Happily This Christmas by Susan Mallery:
This is an example of a regional battle/edition change between two covers. The covers are very similar only changing the background colour.

Thatās great feedback Carla. I have changed things as I donāt want to influence others decisions. Iām hoping that you choose a cover based on your first instinct, rather than needing to know what the book is about.
