My Week:
Happy Easter to everyone celebrating! I’m looking forward to spending time with my extended family and enjoying the holiday together.
My husband and I recently spent a few days out of town and had a wonderful getaway. There’s nothing quite like a change of scenery — and a few great meals out — to help reset and recharge. That said, it also reminded us that there truly is no place like home.
The weather is expected to be sunny and warm this weekend, bringing our highest temperatures of the year so far, which makes the timing even more special.
Unfortunately, my uncle is currently in the hospital and is hoping to be discharged in time for Easter Sunday. We’re planning to visit him before he leaves and are keeping him in our thoughts as he recovers.

From The Library:

After surviving a traumatic car accident, Roz and Vin’s once-happy marriage has fractured, leaving them barely able to speak a year later and heading toward separation when Vin signs a new lease. Desperate to move forward, Roz throws herself into a figure drawing class and leans on adventures with her best friend Raffi—who happens to be Vin’s younger brother—while trying to ignore the heartbreak unfolding at home. When Vin unexpectedly offers to pose for her, the intimacy they’ve been avoiding forces them to truly see each other again, confronting grief, attraction, and unspoken pain. As Roz grows as an artist and reconnects with the man she fell in love with, both must decide whether they can face their buried feelings and heal together, or finally let go.

Larissa’s life changes with a single split-second choice after a concert—deciding which guy to ride home with—never realizing she’s just met the perfect man. Months later, she and Chris share an effortless connection, from co-parenting their slightly chaotic rescue Yorkie to bonding over books and playful debates about bread, and for the first time her hectic, hustle-filled life feels calm and right. The problem is, Chris isn’t the guy she chose that night—he’s her boyfriend’s best friend—and though he wants nothing more than her happiness, loving her from the sidelines is slowly breaking his heart, because acting on it would hurt someone else, and he refuses to be that person.
What I’m Watching:
I’m continuing to enjoy all the medical dramas as they head towards their season finales. I’m glad I’ve rediscovered E.R. as their are 15 seasons with plenty of episodes per season.

You are so right, Jodie. Getting away to recharge is a valuable activity, but it’s always nice to get home. I’m sorry to hear that your uncle is ill. It’s tough when family members are dealing with things. Wishing you a wonderful Easter and enjoy your time with family.

Both of those books look good! I was out of town all last week, and while I enjoyed it, you’re right, home is best. I wish I’d gotten home a day or two earlier, because now I don’t feel rested to go back to work tomorrow, lol. Hope you have a good week and that your Uncle is doing okay. Oh yeah, I remember watching ER back in the day.
