My Week:
Thank you to everyone who sent their well wishes for my brother’s recent surgery. I’m happy to share that the surgery went well, and he is recovering nicely.
I had a few appointments this week, but otherwise it was a fairly typical week. I’ve also been following the news closely, as there is a potential airline strike looming that could significantly impact my upcoming travel plans. Hopefully, a new agreement can be reached soon, as a strike would likely mean having to cancel the trip.
The weather has been quite unpredictable this week, including a rare thunderstorm on Thursday night. We were grateful for the rain that came with it and welcomed the much-needed moisture.
Recent Additions To My Bookshelf:
It’s been several weeks now since I’ve seen any audiobooks that catch my eye on Netgalley or received any widgets I’ve wanted to accept. Thanksfully I’ve got a long list of books on my library holds.
From The Library:

Billie seems to have it all—a successful medical career in New York City and a promising future with her partner, Dean, who has just proposed—until an unexpected call from her high-school sweetheart, Mick, shatters her carefully built world. Returning to Wisconsin for the first time in years, Billie is forced to confront the love she left behind, the friendships that shaped her, and the life-altering choices that pulled her away from home. As past and present collide, she must reckon with who she used to be, who she has become, and what truly matters, in a deeply emotional story about second chances, enduring connections, and the transformative power of love.
What I’m Watching:
I’ve finishing watching Elle on Prime this week and enjoyed it. We’re also watching the new season of Big Brother which is a summer staple in our home. Anyone else watching?

Yay for your brother’s surgery going well! I hope his recovery goes smoothly as well. We had rain yesterday and while it helped with the air quality, it didn’t quite get rid of everything. I hope you have a great week!

Thank you Cindy! I’m sorry that the Canadian fire’s smoke is drifting your way.
Anne - Books of My Heart
Glad your brother is on the mend. Also I can appreciate rain as we are finally getting a few drops. The heat goes on. I hope the strike can be resolved and I wonder about increasing fuel prices worldwide also.

I’m so happy that Big Brother is back! I always look forward to it every summer. (Can you believe that Angela is back? Haha) I’m glad your brother is healing well. I hope things get sorted out with the airlines so you can go on your trip. Have a great week Jodie!

I’m glad to hear your brother is recovering well. I sure hope that they sort out the issue with Westjet and don’t strike. I was in your position with a flight to Cancun when the same issue arose with Air Transat and they settled, so fingers crossed. I have never watched Big Brother. I hope to watch The Amazing Race Canada this week.
